Caroline Alves

Caroline Alves is a 21 years old artist, born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. It is only when she moved to Switzerland that she finds out her passion for music by teaching herself guitar when she was 14. Unique and Intimate, her music and voice are influenced by soul and folk music and artists such as Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu and Massive Attack. According to the magazine Negative White “it is her impressive voice - dark, mystical and attractive - that
surprises many.”

Since many years, she shares her music in bars, festivals, and many stages in Switzerland, and abroad like La Rodia (Besançon, France), Madame Claude (Berlin) and Festi’Neuch, La Coupole, Le Singe, KUFA among many in Switzerland.

Her first EP, ‘Unbound’, produced by Grammy winning New York multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Mage, has four original songs in a dark electro-indie style. This first musical project opened many doors: her songs ‘Unbound’ and ‘Freedom’ are in rotation in Switzerland’s biggest radios such as SRF3, Couleur 3 and Option Musique. Caroline also works with some famous Swiss artists, such as the rapper Sim’s, Manillio and Dr.Mo. In March 2018, she has reached the finals at the m4music demotape clinic with the single “Unbound”.
